How to report copyright infringement and contact our designated agent.

Respect for Intellectual Property

Meringue respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. Meringue’s import tools are intended for personal, non-commercial use, and we keep creative recipe elements (photographs, headnotes, and editorial descriptions) private to the account that saved them rather than publishing them on public, unauthenticated pages. If you believe content available through Meringue infringes a copyright you own or control, you may send a takedown notice to our designated agent using the process below.

Filing a Takedown Notice

To be effective, your written notice to the designated agent must include:

Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with a link or description sufficient for us to locate it.
Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

We will respond to valid notices by removing or disabling access to the material, and we may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Counter-Notice

If you believe material you posted was removed or disabled in error, you may send a written counter-notice to our designated agent at the address above. Your counter-notice should identify the removed material and its prior location, include your name, address, telephone number, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, along with your consent to jurisdiction as required by the DMCA.
